Getting started

Open your project, review its setup, and prepare to generate your first content item.

Before you start

You need an Evatype account and a live website to use as the project source. If your account already contains the project you need, continue to Open the correct project.

Create a project from a website scan

  1. Sign in to Evatype.
  2. Open the project picker and select New project.
  3. Enter the website domain, such as example.com.
  4. Select Create project.

Evatype creates the project and analyzes the website. The analysis reads the existing content and prepares the initial project context, workflows, and content ideas. The analysis can take a few minutes. Evatype emails you when the initial ideas are ready.

Open the correct project

  1. Sign in to Evatype.
  2. If your account contains more than one project, select the website you want to work on from the project picker.
  3. Open Ideas from the main navigation.

Ideas and workflows belong to the selected project. Check the project before generating content or changing a workflow.

Check that a workflow is available

The Ideas page groups topics by workflow. A workflow determines the type of content Evatype will create and where its output will go.

If the page says No workflows yet, select New workflow and complete the workflow setup. See Workflows for each step.

Prepare your first item

Choose one of these options:

  • Select an existing idea that came from the site analysis.
  • Select Add one idea and enter your own topic or search keyword.

Each idea must use a workflow. Optional instructions can name the audience, angle, required points, or exclusions for that item.

What happens next

Generating an idea creates a run. Its items appear under Review, where you can follow generation, inspect the result, and publish or download it.

Continue with Ideas.
